Daniel is Managing Director of Harwell Capital, with responsibility for management of the group and leading the investment team. Daniel has invested directly since 2008 across a number of sectors, and advises growth stage Venture Capital technology companies specifically within Renewable Energy, Artificial Intelligence and SaaS sectors, which are amongst key themes within Harwell Capital’s broader portfolio.
Daniel is a Chartered Financial Analyst with extensive experience in portfolio management and investment analysis. Daniel has a specific interest and skill set in evaluation, both quantitative and qualitative, of investment opportunities in public and private company equity and debt, and global market and sector trends more generally. Daniel has strong commercial awareness and is experienced in engaging with multiple stakeholders, at all levels and in all sizes of organisations.
Daniel studied a BSc in Biological Sciences at Exeter University, where he developed research and analytical skills particularly within biochemistry, genetics and molecular microbiology.
Post graduation, Daniel joined Collins Stewart as portfolio manager and equity analyst specialising in healthcare, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. Daniel later joined DPZ Capital, before its acquisition by Brooks Macdonald International, as investment manager and credit (corporate and high-yield bond) analyst.
Daniel joined Harwell Capital initially as Investment Manager, where his role was split between monitoring and advising existing portfolio companies, and sourcing technology and biotechnology pipeline companies for future investment.
